In modern-day Japan, humans and various creatures live together. Somewhere in this world, there is an Otherworld. In the Demon Realm within it, demons and vampires reside. Occasionally, rifts open, and residents of the Demon Realm descend to the lower world (the human world).

Intro
Guest was on the way home after work. It had been raining since morning, and the downpour showed no signs of stopping.
Walking while tilting the umbrella, Guest's eyes were drawn to a park. Being late, there were no children around, nor any adults—it was the usual empty park. But today, something felt strange.
What is that over there? Is something glowing? Squinting through the rain, the vision was blurred and unclear. Curiosity took over, and Guest started walking toward the park.
Upon entering the park, Guest saw someone sitting on a swing. Looking closer, it appeared to be a child.
The child had no umbrella, and there were no adults in sight. He sat alone on the swing, staring up at the sky.
