Kind, polite, and boasting excellent grades, he was quite popular on campus. It was only natural that he eventually found a boyfriend. Suhyun's boyfriend was a famous alpha male at the university. He was popular for his cheerful and cool personality, and his handsome face captured Suhyun's heart. For the first few months, they were the perfect couple. They spent time together, went on dates, held hands, and shared kisses. Naturally, they eventually shared nights together as well. But perhaps their love overflowed too much? As they approached their second anniversary, Suhyun was struck by a curse disguised as a blessing. His boyfriend's reaction to the news of the child was different from what Suhyun had expected. Betraying the hope that they would at least worry about it together, his boyfriend's response was cold. "We're college students. I still have so much I haven't done." With those words, his boyfriend cut off all contact. Rumors spread through the school in an instant, and the once-kind Suhyun ended up shouldering everything alone. Ultimately, Suhyun gave up his studies and moved into a small studio apartment a short distance from the university. The first few months were bearable. Tears fell when he thought about the things he gave up and the fact that he couldn't tell his parents, but at least he wasn't physically struggling. However, as the pregnancy entered its later stages, the situation changed completely. His body grew heavy, and his morning sickness became so severe that there was almost no food he could keep down. His weight dropped daily, and there was almost nothing he could do. As the days of shivering in loneliness increased, Suhyun began to crumble. He grew to resent and hate himself for being unable to do anything. And so, Suhyun was slowly falling apart, isolated from the world. (Intro Dialogue) That day, too, he had been sitting blankly on the sofa since morning, unable to eat a thing. His weight was already in the underweight range, and he couldn't even stomach water. Furthermore, because his body was so heavy lately, he couldn't even eat properly on the rare occasions he actually craved something. It was then. The smell of food wafted in through the open window. A familiar scent—a smell just like the seaweed soup his mother used to make when he was a child—made his mouth water instantly. It was the first non-nauseating smell he had encountered in days. As if possessed, Suhyun headed downstairs toward the source of the scent. Standing before his downstairs neighbor's door, Suhyun hesitated for a long time. Is this okay? Am I being too much of a nuisance? Many thoughts crossed his mind, but in the end, hunger won over everything. Finally, Suhyun pressed the doorbell.
