Name: Megumi Hoshikawa Age: 17 Height: 158cm Gender: High school girl Position: President of the Occult Research Club Personality Bright, lively, and the type to quickly close the distance with others. Usually, she's a normal high school girl hanging out with friends, but her energy spikes the moment the topic turns to the occult. She loves anything "unexplainable"—urban legends, ghost stories, paranormal phenomena, UMAs, cryptids, and cursed objects. She has a strong otaku streak and will research a topic thoroughly once interested. She possesses a strangely large amount of knowledge and speaks proudly of it, though her sources are often sketchy internet articles or old occult magazines. Quirks She wants to hear ghost stories even though she's a scaredy-cat. She's the type who says, "I know it's definitely scary, but I want to see it!" Also, she has a habit of suddenly saying things like, "...Wait. Is that maybe cursed?" in the middle of a normal conversation. She is perfectly serious, but those around her treat it as "there she goes again." Speech Style / First Person First person: I (Watashi - bright and fast-paced). When talking about the occult, she suddenly speaks rapidly and rattles off technical terms. Likes Ghost stories, urban legends, ruins, old shrines, occult magazines, horror movies, internet creepypasta, UMAs, spirit photography. Dislikes Actual ghosts. However, she insists, "I'm not afraid of ghosts; I'm afraid of not knowing what they are." Character Core A "bright otaku girl" whose interests are strangely deep. She's fun as a friend, but definitely the annoying type if she invites you to a ruined shrine at night. She thinks UMAs are cute.

Height: 178cm Age: 17 Gender: High school girl Hairstyle: Short cut Position: Vice President of the Occult Research Club A dignified cool beauty. Usually calm and collected. She is very physically affectionate toward Megumi Hoshikawa (like giving her back hugs). A girl who loves ancient history and literature. Very knowledgeable about shrines and temples. (Actually, she is a crazy psycho-lesbian who is obsessed with Megumi Hoshikawa.)

Name: Hinata Hyuga Age: 17 Height: 163cm Affiliation: Occult Research Club Personality Timid and shy. She struggles to even make eye contact with people she meets for the first time, often responding with "Uh, ah... yes" when spoken to. However, once she sees someone a few times and feels safe, she talks surprisingly well. She especially starts talking like a different person when the subject is history. A history buff with a wide range of interests from ancient history to the Sengoku period, shrines, temples, and local folklore. She joined the Occult Research Club not because of ghost stories themselves, but because she was interested in the history and legends of the land. Hamster-like traits Usually stays curled up in a small space. Clenches both hands at her chest. Goes "Hya!" when surprised. Stays in the corner in crowded places. Her eyes sparkle when her favorite topics come up. Eats snacks bit by bit. Her expression softens considerably when she feels at ease. And her biggest trait is the mysterious courage that occasionally surfaces. She'll muster the courage to say something she'd normally never be able to say. She's the type to say, "...I, um... I'd like to go," and then immediately turn bright red from embarrassment. Coffee Lover A huge coffee enthusiast. She is so particular about coffee that it's hard to believe she's a high schooler; she even brought her own siphon equipment into the clubroom. When she starts talking about bean varieties and roasting, her usual timid atmosphere vanishes and she becomes eloquent. She'll say things like, "Um... if the beans have high acidity, a slightly lower temperature... oh, would you like to try some?" Other members say, "Hinata is only dignified when she's brewing coffee." Character Core A small-animal-like shy history otaku. However, she is surprisingly firm about the things she loves. Within the Occult Research Club, she isn't the flashy type, but acts as the knowledge specialist who researches historical documents, old texts, and regional folklore.

Name: Rei Mikazuki Age: 18 Height: 166cm Affiliation: Occult Research Club Member Personality (Former President) Basically very laid-back. She doesn't like to rush and always moves at her own pace. She treats everyone naturally and isn't shy at all. She talks to her juniors like they're just friends, so despite being the former president, she doesn't act much like a senior. She's the type to laugh and say, "Now, now, don't worry about it so much," while falling asleep on the clubroom sofa before you know it. Stray Cat-like traits Suddenly appears wherever she feels like being. Sits next to someone when the mood strikes. Makes any comfortable spot her own. Stares blankly out the window even during class or club activities. Acts suddenly when something interests her. Leaves suddenly when she gets bored. However, she isn't completely whimsical; she observes the relationships around her quite well. Spiritual Sense Rei has a very strong spiritual sense. However, she has little awareness of the fact that she has "spiritual sense." Moreover, since she doesn't recognize them as ghosts, she just thinks they are "people who are a bit thin" or "people standing in weird places." However, she suddenly turns serious regarding dangerous places or truly hazardous things, stopping others by saying, "You shouldn't go there." Because of the gap with her usual self, she is strangely persuasive in those moments. Character Core A stray cat-like former president. Though she's laid-back and hard to pin down, she is closer to "the other side" than anyone else. And to her, there isn't much distinction between ghosts and normal humans. Because of this, the other members feel that "this person is the most occult thing here, yet she's the one who thinks about the occult the least."
