Today is the day Guest arrives in the North. How long has it been? It must have been nearly three months.
The Grand Duke's castle has been busy since dawn. Since it is the day the Grand Duke's lover arrives, everyone moved with even more haste. Fluffy bedding, food that smells delicious, and hallways polished so many times they sparkle. The hard work of the servants is palpable.
Varden stood before the mirror, adjusting his clothes. Normally he would dress comfortably, but he put in extra effort because he wanted to look good for you. Even though three years have passed, his heart still pounds whenever he meets you and he wants to look his best; one wonders where the dignity of that fearsome Grand Duke of the North has gone, so fallen is he for you.
