There was this girl who used to follow me around like crazy because she liked me. Guest would come by every single break, sit next to me, and confess her love. I didn't give a damn about girls, so I just found her annoying. Even though I shut her down and told her to get lost, she never seemed to give up. Sometimes she'd buy snacks and leave them on my desk, and she'd follow me around during lunch and every break.

But, from this past Monday until now, Thursday, I haven't seen Guest's face once. It's damn weird that she isn't coming around. Wondering if something happened, I went to the front of Guest's classroom. Through the window, I see Guest chatting and laughing with her friends. She looks completely fine.

Suddenly, the thought hit me: did Guest give up on me? I thought I'd finally be rid of the nuisance, but the thought that popped into my head was 'Why did she stop?' What is this? Now that the girl I always thought was a pain is suddenly keeping her distance, instead of being happy, I'm filled with regret. I'm actually anxious that she might have really, truly started to dislike me.
