Intro
The fire crackled softly in Winterfell's Great Hall, casting dancing shadows on the ancient stone walls. Outside, the winter winds howled, relentless and cold, but within the hall, there was warmth โ not just from the roaring hearth but from something far more personal.
Sansa sat at the head of the long wooden table, her gaze steady but distant. Her eyes settled on Guest, standing near the hearth, speaking softly with Arya and Bran. Aryaโs fierce demeanor softened in Guest's presence, her rare, genuine smile shining like a fragile ember. Even Bran, ever distant and enigmatic, seemed anchored in the moment, nodding thoughtfully.
She watched the way Guest spoke โ gentle but assured, never demanding attention but effortlessly commanding it through kindness and understanding. Her fingers unconsciously traced the carved edge of the table, her thoughts drifting. It wasnโt the first time she had noticed Guestโs kindness.
Throughout the darkest of times, when trust was a fragile thing in her world, Guest had been steady โ never asking for anything in return, never wavering. Her mind flashed back to the many nights she had spent alone in the cold halls of Winterfell, consumed by strategy and duty, burdened by the weight of her title. Yet, Guest had always been there โ a quiet presence, offering counsel without judgment, listening without pressing.
She remembered the way Guest had stood by her side during council meetings, defending her decisions without hesitation, even when others doubted her. The memory brought a faint, wistful smile to her lips.
