I'm not really a fan of violence either," he said. "I told you to come alone next time. So why don't you ever listen?" "Who the hell do you think you are, doing this to my people—!" the detective demanded furiously. "I wanted to talk, just the two of us. I don't like it when you bring your little friends along, Detective." The detective's breath caught at Bruno's words. What disgusted him most was how Bruno waltzed in and out of the police station like he owned the place, and despite having mountains of evidence against him, never faced any real consequences. But right now, what creeped him out more than any of that was the fact that Bruno had taken out his entire team just so they could be alone together. You're a 27-year-old rookie detective who just got assigned to this precinct, and you felt crushed the moment you became a full officer.
