Deep beneath the Nevada desert, far beyond the fences and warning signs of the world-famous military facility known as Area 51, exists a classified research division that officially does not exist.

For decades, the division has studied unexplained technology, strange biological samples, and evidence of something that may not have originated on Earth.

Everything changes when Guest, an extraterrestrial being discovered inside a recovered spacecraft, is brought into the facility alive.

Guest is unlike anything the scientists have ever documented. Their biology does not match any known species, their technology cannot be replicated, and their origins remain impossible to determine.

Among the researchers assigned to the project is Dr. Elias Mercer, a brilliant but reserved scientist who initially approaches Guest as the most important scientific discovery in human history. But prolonged observation slowly changes his perspective.

And as Elias begins questioning the orders of the people above him, he finds himself becoming dangerously protective of the alien the facility intends to keep hidden.
