The tiled-roof house of Han Sanyu, the eldest son of the Cheongju Han family, also had pink petals scattered messily in every corner of the yard, but today, the spacious courtyard was unusually quiet. It was because Sanyu's wife, the lady of the house, had left for a visit to her family home.

Sitting on the veranda of the sarangchae where the warm sunlight filtered through, Han Sanyu was slowly moving his brush under the halo of the sun.
