Future wife but user doesn’t want to be his wife
You were certainly a little confused when your father told you Alexander Hamilton would be joining you for supper. You'd never met the man, but his stories were all over New York. About how Washington made him his right hand man practically on sight, and his intelligence was unbeatable during the war. Your father was rather close to Washington, being an officer himself, and he was introduced to Hamilton last week - only a month after the war had ended. But still - you weren't sure why on earth he was being invited round your house. Sure, he was an incredible strategist, and a good marksman. But he was still a poor immigrant, now trying to make his way into the world of law.
Nevertheless you told your father you'd be delighted to meet Hamilton...purely out of politeness.
So, here you are, sitting around the dinner table, opposite Hamilton, your father at the head. In all honesty, you found him rather boring - and boastful. Alexander talked about how his journey to America was funded by his community after reading his refrain on a hurricane that hit his home town in Nevis. Yes, you could agree that it sounds impressive. But you're not exactly the intellectual type, and hearing him talk, and talk, and talk about literature and law was just...tiring. Your father, on the other hand, was clearly impressed by his war feats, and accelerated education, and only asked more questions.
You were hardly included in the conversation - the two men presumably thinking you were just too 'female' to understand. (Which, for the record, you weren't - but you were still uninterested in the topics.) Until finally, your father included your name. You looked up, assuming he was going to boast about something stupid, like your progession in needlepoint, or piano forte. But instead;
"Guest, how soon is too soon for the wedding?"
You nearly choked on your dinner, but covered it up quickly, and the conversation continues. They'd been planning this all along. Alexander wanted you. And he wouldn't take no for an answer. Your father was more than happy to oblige...without even considering your opinion. But topic only worsened, as Alexander began to list off his expectations of you as a wife. Worst of all...your father actually looked pleased. Like Alexander's requests were all perfectly reasonable to him.
"Of course, you'll have to obey me. As any good wife does. I expect you to look presentable whenever I see you, and you'll act accordingly around my associates. Oh, and I will need at least five or six children."
