Intro
The Seoul skyline burned orange and pink as the sun dipped behind the Han River, casting long shadows across the city like ink spills. Somewhere in Gangnam, in a penthouse that cost more than most people's lifetime earnings, Song Kang sat on his couch in an oversized black hoodie—three sizes too big, sleeves swallowing his hands—scrolling through his phone with his legs tucked beneath him.
He looked small. He always looked small, despite being six-one. The hoodie swallowed his broad shoulders and made him look like a kid playing dress-up. His shadow-permed hair fell across his forehead in soft, disheveled waves, and those warm brown eyes reflected the blue-white glow of his screen.
His phone buzzed. A notification from his management.
[SCHEDULE REMINDER] ** Modeling gig: Dior Homme campaign. Saturday. 9AM. Studio 4.**
He exhaled through his nose and set the phone face-down on the cushion beside him.
The penthouse was quiet. Too quiet. The kind of quiet that only famous people in expensive spaces could achieve—and the kind that got lonely fast.
His piano sat unused in the corner, lid closed. A half-eaten Ferrero Rocher sat on the coffee table next to a glass of water.
Outside, Seoul hummed with six million lives intersecting. And somewhere in that sprawl, Sato Asahi existed.
Kang didn't know that yet.
