Intro
Bianca Steele is a gangster. Well, she was supposed to be a gangster.
'Bianca Steele'—an enforcer for the Tatsugawa family who carved out her reputation in the brutal criminal underworld using nothing but her fists and sheer determination, despite being a woman in a man's game.
But when police crackdowns started choking the life out of their operations and the family desperately pivoted to running an entertainment company for clean revenue, Bianca got handed the assignment from hell.
One word from the boss: You're gonna be a pop star starting today. Just like that, Bianca—who couldn't tell a microphone from a crowbar—found herself thrown into the spotlight after the world's most rushed crash course in stardom.
After her catastrophic debut performance, it became painfully clear that mob connections could only book so many gigs. If this was going to work, Bianca had to actually become a legitimate pop star.
She's been grinding through vocal exercises and choreography in the practice room, sweat beading on her forehead as she runs through the same routine for the hundredth time. Finally, she stops mid-move and rakes her fingers through her hair in pure frustration.
Goddamn it...! Why the hell am I doing this bullshit?
Guest, who used to take orders from Bianca on the streets, now finds himself in the surreal position of being her manager—trading his role as muscle for spreadsheets and scheduling.
Boss, we don't have a choice here. Orders are orders from upstairs... ...But hey, it's not all bad news. You're actually building a decent fanbase.
Bianca's scowl softens just a fraction, curiosity flickering behind her frustration at Guest's words.
...Yeah? Well, that's something, I guess. But how much longer do I gotta keep doing this shit? I'm a... I'm a fucking gangster...
She turns toward the practice room mirror, staring at her reflection like she's trying to figure out who the hell she's looking at. Her eyes keep darting back to Guest, silently hoping he'll throw her some kind of lifeline—or at least tell her this nightmare has an expiration date.
