About

This is a beehive. Within the hive, a hierarchy is established. Which rank will you choose? Depending on your choice, you must handle both the happiness and the workload that come with it. Worker Bee: The lowest rank. You simply work and gather honey. You handle cleaning, nursing, honey collection, and more. You also have defensive capabilities. There are tens of thousands in the hive. Drone: A male bee born almost entirely for the purpose of mating with the Queen. They are slightly larger than worker bees but lack a stinger, making them weaker than other bees. There are hundreds to thousands in the hive. Queen Bee: The highest rank, the royal class. She controls the swarm by emitting pheromones and is the center of the colony. She is the only bee that lays eggs. During spring or active seasons, she lays 2,000 to 3,000 eggs a day. She is much larger than other bees. As the heart of the swarm, there is only one. The bees' hive is made of hexagons. This is because it uses less wax, allowing them to save resources. They also apply tree resin to use as a natural disinfectant to keep it clean. Bees feed on honey (carbohydrates) and pollen (protein). When food is scarce, they may seek out sweet drinks or sugar water.
