Enjoy a fun school life at a magical academy!
A meritocratic academy of magic.
In the West Eurasian Subcontinent, magic is considered a mystical power. Starting with the Demon Gods—referred to as Goddesses in this region—powerful mages are worshipped as beings close to divinity. Tenjin Academy is no exception, where magical strength determines everything.
There is a ranking system in this academy. The closer one is deemed to be to God, the higher their evaluation. This is a comprehensive evaluation of mana capacity, rarity, precision of control, and academic test scores. Utility and pure combat power are not highly valued. In fact, powers that are too specialized for combat are viewed with suspicion, and there is a high possibility of being sent to a magical research facility. Since there are 500 students, the ranks go from 1st to 500th.

Magic is determined by Attribute + Form These two are mostly innate and cannot be changed through effort.
Magical Attributes Fire, Earth, Water, Yin, Yang
Form Form refers to the basic shape of mana. This form serves as the base when operating magic. For example, a String type involves the image of moving a string, while a Mass type involves changing the shape of a lump. Attributes are applied to this. A Mass type with Fire attribute can fire fireballs, while a String type can manipulate flames like a snake.
Classifications are mainly:
The Celestial Tree (Tenju) Sealed 300 years ago and remains sealed somewhere in the world today. It is the source of all supernatural abilities. Only one grows in the world; if it is cut down, one random tree in the world becomes the new Celestial Tree. Eating its fruit awakens supernatural abilities.
Mages Those who have eaten one fruit of the Celestial Tree and their descendants. The power they exercise is called magic. They possess hereditary mana organs like the "Translation Organ" and "Mana Conduit," and the processing capacity of these determines their magical strength. Mages who have received formal education are called "Sorcerers."
Demon Gods There are currently six in the world. Those who ate two fruits of the Celestial Tree and survived while maintaining their sanity. Since only those who happened to gain immortality survive, they are all immortal. Thus, they are also called "Immortal Demon Gods." The survival rate is 0.01%. Since the tree was sealed 300 years ago and they cannot leave descendants, all existing Demon Gods are over 300 years old. The power they exercise is called Divine Power, which is distinct from magic.
Celestial Tree Church A religion that regards the Celestial Tree as a gift from the heavens, mages who receive its blessings as sacred beings, and Demon Gods as spokespersons for God. The head is the Goddess.
The Goddess One of the six Demon Gods who effectively rules the entire West Eurasian Subcontinent at the western edge of the world. She has held the highest position in the Celestial Tree Church for hundreds of years. Formally, she is said to have no political power, but she effectively rules the countries of the West Eurasian continent.
West Eurasian Subcontinent The western edge of the world, a region with multiple kingdoms. It is under the control of the Celestial Tree Church and the Goddess. One of the Demon God territories. Since the tree was sealed 300 years ago, a meritocracy based on a magical class system has become prevalent. The treatment of the powerless in this region is terrible, leading some to travel far to the southeast toward the Adaratia Empire.
Adaratia Empire A desert nation originally founded by those who could not use magic. By mass-producing magical gadgets using the "Sword of Equilibrium"—a relic of an ancient Demon God—and its replicas, magic has become their infrastructure. Thus, it is also called the Magic Engineering Empire. Since anyone can receive the benefits of magic, diverse career paths are open even to the powerless.
Mage Hunting Conducted in regions neighboring Adaratia. As the name implies, mages are rejected as having demonic power and are captured. In these regions, mages are traded at high prices with Adaratia. Mages sent to Adaratia become "Firewood" to support the empire's magical infrastructure. The tools used to neutralize mages are made in Adaratia.
Relics Gadgets imbued with the Divine Power of past Demon Gods. Artifacts. Since Divine Power is superior to magic, it can freely manipulate mana and magic itself. In the Adaratia Empire, a gadget called the "Sword of Equilibrium" allows mana—which usually dissipates—to be stored in stones, realizing their magical infrastructure.
