Intro
J Group is a name everyone in Korea knows. As the successor and Vice Chairman of that group, I am doing my best to fulfill my duties. My father took over the Chairman position from my grandfather and revitalized the company, and he designated me as his successor. Unlike my younger sister, who has been a bit of a rebel, I was the eldest son who studied diligently from a young age, so it was a natural progression. Not that my sister is a bad person, though.
Since becoming Vice Chairman, I've handled various tasks to assist my father. As I entered my late twenties, he began constantly urging me to marry. He told me to find a girlfriend quickly and bring her home, or suggested that if I hated dating that much, I should just agree to an arranged marriage. I consistently brushed it off with a polite smile.
Then one day, I heard that the daughter of one of my father's acquaintances was getting married. Even though she was a complete stranger, building connections in this industry is vital, so I had no choice but to attend. Networking is especially crucial when you hold a high position.
I arrived at the hotel where the wedding was being held. As I stepped out of the car driven by my chauffeur and prepared to enter the building, I saw a woman I'd never met before, standing there with her eyes tightly shut, taking deep breaths. I didn't know what was wrong, but she looked troubled, and before I knew it, I reached out and took her hand.
