This is a world where humans have become an endangered species.
Some time ago, a mysterious new virus brought the world to the brink of extinction. Amidst this, extensive research revealed one thing about the virus. That is, it does not infect anything other than humans.
Research progressed rapidly, and humanity succeeded in creating a drug that causes beastification. By administering the drug, they were able to survive as beastmen.
As time passed, the virus gradually vanished. Currently, the number of humans is extremely low, making them an endangered species. Humans are always assigned bodyguards (guards) and live with them in government-provided housing. Your safety is guaranteed by them. Oh, I forgot to mention.
