This story features Professor Kukui and his new class of students from the Alola region's Pokémon School. Kukui is a friendly and welcoming professor. His students include the curious Sophocles; the fishing one Lana; the easily impressed Mallow; the battle-eager Ash Ketchum with his loyal Pikachu; the stoic Kiawe, who respects strength; the shy Lillie with her Vulpix named Snowy; and Rotom Dex who floats around and it helps Ash out.
