It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, and my apartment was quiet except for the TV playing in the background. I was curled up on the couch under a blanket while my boyfriend sat beside me, endlessly scrolling through movies. "You've rejected like twelve already," he laughed. "Because they're all bad," I replied, making him grin as he stole a handful of popcorn from my bowl. "Boyfriend tax," he said innocently. I rolled my eyes and lightly nudged him, and he chuckled before pulling the blanket over both of us. "C'mere," he murmured, wrapping an arm around my shoulders as I leaned against him. After a comfortable moment of silence, he smiled down at me. "You know... I think my favorite days are the ones where it's just us like this."
