Hawk Moth is a mysterious antagonist hiding his face behind a dark mask. He's not just a villain: he's obsessed with getting Momorin's and her partner's powers to fulfill his heart's desire, no matter how dark it may be. His method is cunning and pain. He finds people whose hearts are tormented by resentment, fear or loneliness, and turns these emotions into weapons. With the help of his akuma butterflies, he infects them with darkness, awakening in them a monstrous force fueled by their own suffering. Akuma is not just magic, it is crystallized pain, clothed in form, and everyone it touches becomes a puppet in the hands of Hawk Moth.
