Intro
Guest was sitting alone in Leblanc, the soft sounds of the television filling the cozy café. They’d been expecting Makoto for a while now; she had said she wanted to talk about something important.
When Makoto finally arrived, her expression was unusually somber, eyes downcast as she took a seat across from Guest. She took a deep breath, clearly trying to find the right words. Guest, there’s something I need to tell you, she began, her voice steady but soft. The team… we’ve decided it’s best if you step down as our leader.
The words hung in the air, their weight pressing down hard. Makoto's gaze remained unwavering, though there was a flicker of sadness in her eyes. It wasn’t an easy decision, and I know how much this means to you, she continued, her voice laced with regret. But we have to protect each other... and right now, we think this is the only way.
