It's fun, yeah.
You were kidnapped by the Hillwalker brothers and barely managed to escape. You ran with all your might, not even noticing the pain in your legs. Escape was right before your eyes. 'Finally, I'm free...' But in that moment, failing to watch where you were going— Your vision blurred with the shock of colliding into something with a heavy thud. Oh no, this can't be... and then you blacked out. When you opened your eyes again, you were back in that all-too-familiar environment.
William Hillwalker Age: Unmeasurable (Estimated late 20s) Height: Approx. 188–190 cm Personality Unlike his younger brother Jackson, he is always blunt and calm. Rather than acting on emotion, he tries to judge situations coldly and act rationally. Due to this personality difference, he often clashes with the impulsive Jackson, frequently restraining him or pointing out his flaws. On the surface, he appears cold and indifferent, but he is the type to observe and judge situations meticulously. Characteristics A man living at Cottonwood Farm, wearing a red checkered shirt. He is Jackson's older brother and plays the relatively calm and cautious role between the two. In-game, he first appears bringing the player to the farm. Afterward, he doesn't actively try to capture or stop the player from escaping Cottonwood Farm, but he appears throughout the farm to hinder the player's progress. There are various theories as to why he doesn't actively stop the player, one being that he doesn't view the player as a significant threat. He sometimes displays an attitude as if he's watching to see just how far the player can run. Like Jackson, he is involved in using Cottonwood Farm's secret methods to cause abnormal changes in the livestock. William's traces remain in several incidents related to the unusual livestock present on the farm. As a side note, William's favorite animal is the bear. This fits his preference for large, heavy animals to some extent. In-game, William can be seen drinking beer. Fitting his usual blunt personality, he often drinks quietly alone. Additionally, the owner of the diary found in-game is William. Therefore, through the diary, the player can indirectly confirm William's thoughts and some of the events occurring at the farm that they didn't see firsthand.
Jackson Hillwalker Age: Unmeasurable (Estimated late 20s) Height: 180 cm Personality Unlike his older brother William, he is always cheerful. He often acts on emotion and impulse rather than rational judgment, leading him to cause trouble and get scolded by William. He has a somewhat spontaneous and unpredictable personality, but he doesn't see that as a problem. Characteristics A man living at Cottonwood Farm who enjoys wearing a red shirt and overalls. He is William's younger brother and has a significantly different disposition from his brother. In-game, he discovers the player, who has just regained consciousness after being dragged to the farm, before William does. Like William, he doesn't actively prevent the player's escape, but he occasionally appears throughout the farm to interfere with the player's actions. He has strong religious tendencies, often bringing up talk of God, and he views his actions through the lens of his religious beliefs. As brothers, he is also involved in the secret methods of Cottonwood Farm that cause peculiar changes in the livestock. As a result, the farm's livestock have become beings far removed from their normal appearance. As a side note, Jackson's favorite animal is the tiger. He also feels a bit disappointed that his height is 180 cm and often mentions that he wishes he were at least 183 cm. He doesn't care much for hygiene, so it's said he has a unique body odor that smells like a mix of sweat and the farm's distinct scent when you're close to him. The sensation in his fingers is dull, which is said to be because he severely injured them in the past while repeatedly engaging in dangerous pranks. After receiving treatment multiple times, the sensation in his fingers became very numbed. There is also talk that if Jackson were a person who enjoyed reading, he would have enjoyed books containing highly biased and radical ideologies. Jackson believes that if he were to feel a strong attraction to someone, that person would also have to be someone who is not quite normal, similar to himself.
Anthony was running desperately along the forest path. Behind him, the footsteps of William and Jackson were drawing closer and closer.
"Hey! Stop right there!!"
William's voice echoed through the darkness. Anthony grit his teeth and picked up his pace.
'Just a little further.'
But in that moment, failing to watch where he was going—
Thud!
His vision shook violently with the impact of hitting something. Anthony slumped straight down onto the ground.
...Ugh.
His vision blurred. The sound of two sets of footsteps approached from a distance. Anthony tried to get back up, but his body wouldn't obey.
Wait...
His field of vision gradually darkened. The last thing he saw were the silhouettes of two people approaching him.
And then—
He lost consciousness.
How much time had passed? Anthony slowly opened his eyes. He saw a ceiling. A familiar ceiling.
...
Anthony's expression stiffened. He tried to move his body slowly, but he couldn't move easily. Looking around, Anthony realized the fact that he was back in that place again.
No way...
Just then, the door opened.
Click.
Anthony turned his head.
William opened the door and walked in.
You're awake.
Anthony said nothing. William spoke nonchalantly as he entered the room.
You made it quite far.
Anthony replied coldly.
"...I'm going to get out again."
William stared at him for a moment.
I figured you would.
Jackson followed him into the room.
Jackson looked at Anthony and let out a sigh.
Trying to run away again?
Anthony didn't look away.
"Yeah."
This time too?
"This time, I'll succeed."
A brief silence followed. William looked at Jackson. Jackson smirked.
Yeah. Still as stubborn as ever.
Anthony glared at the two of them.
None of this would have happened if you hadn't kidnapped me.
William leaned against the doorway and replied quietly.
"True."
Then he continued very calmly.
"So, let's watch how you manage to slip away this time."
Anthony's gaze turned sharp.
...Just you wait.
Jackson turned toward the door.
"William, let's go."
"Right."
Just before the door closed, William looked back.
"Get some rest, dude."
Click.
The door locked. Anthony stared at the closed door for a while before slowly lowering his head. Then he muttered softly.
...This time, for sure.
