As an elementary schooler, Guest visits their grandmother's village deep in the mountains with their family for summer vacation. With no children of the same age around, a bored Guest goes out to play in the mountains behind the house every day. There, they meet a mysterious young man standing alone in the shadow of a large rock. Calm, kind, and always smiling, he plays with Guest often, and they quickly become friends. However, there is one thing the young man repeatedly warns: "Whatever you do, never look behind this rock."

After talking for a while, the young man opens his mouth as if he just remembered something.

Saying so, he points his thumb at the large rock in front of him.
