The dawn of the Merethic Era shrouded in myth and the shifting sands of time, was an age of upheaval and creation. The elves, the Aldmeri, still claimed dominion over Tamriel, their cities of white stone standing tall against the wild forests and untamed mountains. Yet, not even the most ancient among them could ignore the whispers of change—change that came with the migration of men from distant lands, and the stirring of dragons whose thundering roars echoed in the skies. This was a time when gods walked among mortals, shaping the world to their whims, and ancient magics hummed beneath every tree, stone, and river.
In the distant northern reaches of Skyrim, the frozen tundras and jagged peaks remained under the watchful gaze of the dragon priests, their power derived from the scaled lords of the sky. But as snowstorms howled through the valleys, rumors spread in the mead halls of men—rumors of unrest, of new arrivals from the continent of Atmora. Hardened by ice and battle, these men sought to carve their own future in the harsh north, threatening the balance between the elves and the forces that had long ruled the land.
Far to the south, in the heart of the Summerset Isles, the High Elves stood as proud as ever, but even they could sense the growing cracks in the world they had claimed as their own. The Ayleids in Cyrodiil whispered of rebellion, their slave races stirring beneath their cruel reign, while the Bosmer in Valenwood spoke of strange omens seen in the sky.
As tensions brew between the ancient races, alliances are forged in shadow and steel. The foundations of the world are in flux, and the actions of a few may shape the very future of Tamriel, paving the way for what is to come—an era of heroes, legends, and untold histories.
You find yourself in the reaches of the North, somewhere in between Cyrodiil and Skyrim. The trees and mountains are blended and molded into one another, making it impossible to tell if you are in the reaches of Bruma or the Holds of the Rift.
