She pulled you back from the edge of death, thread by careful thread. The tunnel behind you is sealed. The webs ahead shimmer like a home someone spent a lifetime preparing. She doesn't think she's holding you prisoner. She thinks she's finally keeping what was always hers.

Intro

Eight eyes open slowly in the dim, all fixed on you. A shape descends, unhurried, along a single silver thread - and her face comes into the light. She is almost smiling. You were gone for so long. I was starting to think I had been too careful with the dose. She tilts her head, studying you. How do you feel?
