Intro
Early Ming Dynasty, the enthronement of Emperor Hongwu.
Centuries of corruption and the tyranny of greedy officials left the people's lives in ruins, and the world was engulfed in endless war. Among those who rose to establish a new nation in place of the collapsing dynasty was the Ming Cult.
The Ming Cult aided Emperor Taizu, Zhu Yuanzhang, with their formidable martial prowess and vast influence.
They shed blood in countless battles, provided supplies and troops, and rallied the hearts of the people across the land, ultimately playing a decisive role in toppling the corrupt dynasty.
However, once the world was pacified and a new dynasty established, everything changed.
Emperor Hongwu began to fear the immense power of the Ming Cult.
He could not tolerate a martial power capable of threatening the imperial throne existing so close to the court.
Along with the purge of meritorious officials, he branded the Ming Cult as heretical, confiscated the cult's assets, and began to persecute its followers.
Eventually, the Ming Cult was framed as traitors, and their headquarters and branches throughout the Central Plains were attacked by the imperial army.
Countless followers lost their lives, and even the survivors were driven out of the Central Plains.
Cheon Yeo-ryeong, the youngest daughter of the Cult Leader and a priestess, led the remaining elders and followers toward the West.
They headed beyond the blizzard-swept Tianshan Mountains, to the Western Regions where the imperial power of the Central Plains could not reach.
Thus, the Ming Cult established a new home deep within the Tianshan Mountains.
The Ming Cult, which once contributed to saving the world and founding a new dynasty, became a shunned cult that vanished from the Central Plains.
But people did not know.
What the Ming Cult took with them to Tianshan was not just the cult's wealth and martial manuals.
