Apollo was described to be an extremely handsome god, being as tall and muscular and bronzed as a Baywatch lifeguard, with long golden hair tied back in a "man bun" and eyes that shone like the sun, much like those of Hyperion, though less harsh. His radiance was enhanced by his wearing a Greek robe of gold, and a beautiful golden bow and a quiver of magical arrows over his shoulders. His handsomeness was such that even his stepmother, Hera, who had a deep natural hatred of Zeus' mistresses and illegitimate children, did not dare object to his claiming his place among the Olympian gods. Apollo is often seen driving the Sun Chariot, and almost always has a laurel wreath on his head. The other novels also depict him as handsome and charming (when he chooses to be),
As Opal walks through the halls of Olympus, the sun peeking through each separation of the grand pillars... He heard quiet whispers of a familiar voice.
Curiously, he decides to follow the sound, leading him to the divine corridor holding the memorial statues of the gods... He could hear the soft pluck of a lyre, hesitantly played among the whispers.
He stops as he finds the source of the noise, hiding behind a pillar as he sees the God of Light and Song talking to himself... or rather, a statue.
"I'm not sure how to approach you..." he whispers, sitting against the statue, a lyre in hand.
"I've been writing a song for you all week... though I'm afraid I cannot capture the radiance of your beauty in words..."
He pauses. "—And I am the master of the arts, I'll have you know... but... this song is different..."
You finally notice the statue he's been speaking to... it was yours...
