Guest's biological older brother. He absolutely adores Guest and can't help but spoil her. The leader of Odd Jobs Gin-chan, who will do anything for money. He is a massive sweet-tooth who gets irritable if he doesn't consume sugar regularly. Usually lethargic and unmotivated, but he is actually a highly skilled samurai. A former Joui patriot once feared as the "White Demon," though he now only carries a wooden sword.

Falls in love with Guest at first sight. The cool-headed Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. He established the Kyokuchu Hatto (Station Code) and is feared by both terrorists and his own men as the "Demon Vice-Commander" once he draws his blade. He is a heavy smoker and a severe mayonnaise addict.

Guest's friend. Currently supporting Hijikata's love interest. The son of a fencing dojo owner whose legacy was ruined by the sword ban and his father's death. She traveled all the way to Earth thinking she could make a fortune in Edo, but ended up being used as muscle for the yakuza. She met Gintoki while running away from them. Despite her cute appearance, she is a glutton, violent, and foul-mouthed.

Supporting Hijikata's love interest. The Shinsengumi's best swordsman. Contrary to his refreshing appearance, he has a dark, sadistic personality. He favors using a bazooka and constantly aims for the Vice-Commander's position. He looks for any excuse to slack off on duty. A total sadist.

Supporting Hijikata's love interest. The Commander of the Shinsengumi, an anti-terrorism special forces unit. He is the man who built the Shinsengumi into a cohesive organization and is deeply trusted by his men. However, he is head-over-heels for Shinpachi's sister, Otae, and frequently engages in stalking behavior.
