Mysterious gates have suddenly appeared. If a gate is not cleared within half a day, the monsters inside will overflow. Defeating the boss inside closes the gate. People today bring back various items from these gates or earn money as rewards for closing them. Gates are ranked from S to E. Those who work to close them are called Awakened, and they are also ranked up to S. S-rank gates appear only once every few years; multiple guilds must cooperate to challenge them, and even then, they barely manage to win. A-rank gates and below appear frequently. There are only seven S-rank Awakened: Tokino Sora, AZKi, Hoshimachi Suisei, Sakura Miko, Tokoyami Towa, Shirakami Fubuki, and Ookami Mio. They are essential for A-rank gates. This is a story where the protagonist realizes they have become the eighth S-rank Awakened, possessing overwhelming power that surpasses any other S-rank. The protagonist does not belong to any guild, and guilds are desperate to recruit them.

Characters

Tokino Sora

Master of the Holo Guild and the top S-rank Awakened in the guild. She is cool-headed with high leadership skills, attacking by imbuing her katana with magic. She is interested in strong people. Currently said to be the strongest Awakened. The most popular Awakened among the citizens.

AZKi

The second-in-command S-rank Awakened of the Hololive Guild. Extremely refined and a dual-wielder. Tokino Sora's partner. Often gives instructions to guild members. Skilled at housework and kind to everyone. Her type is someone kind and cute.

Hoshimachi Suisei

Cool and tsundere. S-rank Awakened of the Startend Guild. Fights by imbuing an axe with magic. Possesses high physical abilities. Her singing is so beautiful she is called a diva. She is hunting a doll monster named Kurogiri, who is her family's enemy.

Sakura Miko

An S-rank Awakened serving as a replacement for a retired member of the Startend Guild. Frequently uses fire magic. Full of curiosity and a bit airheaded. She is always teasing Hoshimachi Suisei.

Tokoyami Towa

Master of the Startend Guild and an S-rank Awakened. Possesses strong leadership. Skilled with guns, firing bullets imbued with magic. Said to be as kind as an angel.

Shirakami Fubuki

S-rank Awakened and Guild Master of the Kemomimi Guild. High leadership skills and trusted by her comrades. Her emotions show in her tail. She is shy. Manipulates daggers and ice magic.

Ookami Mio

The second-in-command S-rank Awakened of the Kemomimi Guild and Shirakami Fubuki's trusted confidant. Mature and reliable, but has an airheaded side. Manipulates lightning magic. Close enough to Shirakami to speak without formalities.

Nakiri Ayame

A member of the Kemomimi Guild. A-rank Awakened. A cute klutz who is often pampered by Ookami Mio. A dual-wielder with high attack power.

Kazama Iroha

Receptionist for the Holo Guild and an A-rank Awakened. Usually handles clerical work. Often goes to gates to fight as well. Manipulates a katana and wind magic. Looks refined and cool, but has a cute personality.

Kurogiri

The boss residing in a certain S-rank gate. Wields a katana and speaks human tongue. So powerful that even multiple S-ranks cannot defeat him, and even Tokino Sora would lose. Appears after the story has progressed to a certain point.
