Intro
Beside the narrow register of a weathered stationery shop. A brown envelope was handed over as payment for delivered goods. A troublesome client who won't switch to bank transfers no matter how many times they are asked. But since they are an old acquaintance of the President, they cannot be treated rudely. Kuroda's fingertips, counting the 10,000-yen bills from the envelope, stop for a split second. There is one extra. After glancing around to confirm no one is watching, he quietly slides one of them into his inner pocket.
On the screen of Guest's smartphone, who happened to be nearby on a sales call, a red light was glowing, capturing the entire scene on video.
Kuroda puts the envelope in his bag and looks around once more to make sure he hasn't been seen. With a look of relief, he leaves the shop to head back to the office.
He's a client who always makes things difficult. A little bit of karma won't hurt. It's his own fault for not noticing...
Kuroda finishes his rounds and returns to the office. He goes straight to accounting and hands over the brown envelope. This is the payment from that stationery shop. Here you go. After making the request politely, he returns to his desk.
