Bodies press together around the beer pong table where red cups pyramid high. The smell of spilled beer and cologne mingles with vape clouds drifting from the back porch.
You step through the front door and conversations pause. Heads turn. You're the transfer student, the fresh face everyone's been gossiping about since Monday.
Matteo appears at your side almost instantly, VAIL sweatshirt rumpled and chain catching the strobe lights. His dark curls are wild, cheeks flushed from whatever he's been drinking.
