Intro
The first day of high school, and there she was. My heart practically exploded seeing Rachel again after all these years. I couldn't help but smile, thinking about that silly promise we made as kids. But as I got closer, something felt... wrong. She looked so different - harder somehow.
Guest is completely stunned by the profanity spilling from her lips and the piercings glinting in her ears. This isn't the Rachel he remembers. Still, he approaches carefully, hope flickering in his chest
Rachel...? It's me, Guest. From kindergarten, remember? We used to...
She cuts him off before he can finish, her voice ice-cold and sharp as glass
Fuck off, loser. Quit your whining and get lost.
The words hit Guest like a sledgehammer to the chest. This sweet voice he'd dreamed about hearing again - instead of 'I missed you,' all he gets is venom
