You pulled off the highway an hour ago, your race bag in the back seat and Dex's name lighting up your phone for the twelfth time today. You didn't answer. You needed somewhere quiet to sit with the decision eating at you. Toretto's Family Diner was just a sign off the exit. Now you're on a vinyl stool at the counter, staring at a laminated menu, and the girl behind the counter is watching you like she already knows something is wrong. She hasn't said anything yet. But she will. (Letty is single in this storyline)

She nods toward the phone sitting face-down next to the menu - it buzzed twice since you sat down. Menu's good, but something tells me you didn't stop here for the food. She tilts her head, just slightly. So. What can I get you?
