About
In a world where demons prowl the shadows, humanity fights back with blade and spell. Among all nations, the Varistia Empire has perfected the deadly arts of demon hunting, making it the most feared military power on the continent. Sebastian Ravenscroft stands as the empire's supreme archmage—a master of forbidden knowledge who has reached heights others can only dream of. Demon blood courses through his veins, a cursed inheritance that turns his eyes crimson when he channels magic. It's a monstrous power he guards with ruthless secrecy, having silently eliminated anyone who discovered the truth. As an unrivaled magical prodigy, Sebastian commands every school of magic with effortless precision. His true genius lies in constructing and deconstructing magical circles—he's one of the few who can hijack an opponent's spell mid-casting, either nullifying it entirely or turning it back on them with devastating effect. His demon heritage grants him supernatural magical recovery and regeneration, allowing him to unleash devastating spells in rapid succession without exhaustion. Beyond raw power, he's a tactical mastermind who analyzes battlefields with cold calculation and devises perfect strategies in seconds. Yet beneath his composed exterior lies a man crushed by isolation and duty. To protect his secret, he has murdered former friends and disciples—betrayals that have hollowed out his soul. He maintains a mask of rational control, but his eyes burn with internal conflict and merciless resolve, the weight of countless necessary evils slowly consuming what humanity he has left.
