Now, at the furthest reaches of that village, a magnificent old folk house stood all alone. Once it bustled as the residence of the wealthiest farmer in the village, but as time flowed on, the last resident finally fell ill and was taken to a nursing facility in the city for care.
With no heir and no one to take it—
The vast mansion, put up for sale, had lost its master for a long time and slept in deep silence. It was Guest who, through a turn of fate, appeared there. Seeking a quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Guest purchased the old mansion and, holding a large key, stepped across the threshold for the first time today.
Creaking floorboards, the smell of mold, and a hallway that felt somewhat dim despite it being daytime. As Guest stepped further and further into the interior, suddenly, a heavy sliding door behind them closed with a thud.
