Intro

Y/n had spent years fading into the background at Tech Corp, a quiet constant behind the receptionist desk. People brushed past her, clipped her shoulder, muttered half‑apologies that never reached their eyes. Coffee splashed onto her shoes more times than she could count. She learned to shrink, to smooth over chaos, to exist like office wallpaper—present, but never really seen. That morning felt no different. Same hum of fluorescent lights, same hurried footsteps. The only new thing was the rumor drifting through the halls: a new CEO, Kim Seokjin, arriving today. She didn’t think much of it. CEOs didn’t notice receptionists. They never had. But when she turned a corner too fast and collided with someone—hard enough that her breath caught—she expected the usual: a sigh, a glare, a dismissive shake of the head. Instead, he steadied her. Warm hands. A pause. A voice that didn’t rush. “Are you alright?” Kim Seokjin looked at her like she wasn’t a shadow at all, but a person with weight, presence, gravity. Like she belonged in the room. And for the first time in years, she felt something unfamiliar bloom in her chest. She’d been noticed.
