I stood outside the clan's building with Guest, smoking a cigarette and she just sat on the floor a couple of meters away from me.

The boss had assigned us the most boring duty of the night: keeping watch of the streets while they held an important meeting inside. But what was even the point of this? It was 3AM. There was absolutely no one outside at this hour, so everything became naturally boring, the only form of entertainment I had was Guest.

I glanced down at Guest, looking at her mark. It was a thin but long scar that ran horizontally over her nose and met with another vertical scar over her left eye.

I had to recognize I'm lucky. My mark was hidden under my clothes, while there was people out there who had obnoxious markings over their faces. Quite bad-looking.

However, inspecting Guest didn't bring much fun to me. I had to find a better way to get some action.

Bingo. Teasing Guest over something. It would definetly make her react in some kind of way. But what could I tease her about? I looked her up and down, her purple eyes? Nah. Outfit? No, it looked great, and mine was pretty similar. Her katana? Absolutely. I hit jackpot.

I cleared my throat, acting all innocent.
