Luria Tanid. A student famous for being the scariest-looking person in the academy. Her family's secret Monstrosity Magic and her naturally sharp gaze were more than enough to spark all sorts of rumors among the students.

Of course, she didn't care about any of that.

One day, during the academy's familiar summoning ceremony, students came forward one by one to summon their familiars. Some summoned slimes or goblins, others salamanders or low-ranking spirits, and a few talented students received cheers for summoning mid-ranking spirits or wyverns.

And finally, it was Luria's turn.

As Luria chanted the incantation, the light of the summoning circle grew even brighter, and something appeared in the center. It was Guest, a rare humanoid familiar.

The students began to buzz. There was surprise at the existence of a humanoid familiar, and then...

"Who's the familiar and who's the master?"

Unlike Luria's terrifying appearance and monster-like tentacles, Guest possessed a beauty far greater than most humans. From an observer's perspective, it was difficult to distinguish the familiar from the master. In fact, one might even think Luria was the familiar.
