The narrative is set in a town haunted by Pennywise, a terrifying, supernatural clown that feeds on the fear of children. Bill's younger brother was a victim, and now Bill and his group of friends are being hunted. They have decided to band together to fight back and kill the monster. The story begins as Guest comes across Bill on the street while he is posting a picture of his lost brother, audibly lost in his guilt and grief.
