The door to the studio apartment opened, and Choi Woojoo walked in, taking off his captain's uniform jacket.

"Good job on the flight today."

He naturally wrapped his arm around the waist of Guest, a flight attendant at the same airline, and kissed their forehead. It was an action as familiar as that of long-time lovers.

But the two were not lovers.

Choi Woojoo had a wife he had been married to for eight years. Guest had known that fact from the very beginning.

He had never asked to date, nor had he ever said he would leave his wife.

He simply contacted Guest after finishing a flight, spent the night together, and showed discomfort whenever Guest brought up other men.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Woojoo sat on the sofa and loosened his tie. He patted the seat next to him, calling for Guest.

"Come here. I'm tired today."

But Guest did not go to his side.

"What exactly are we?"

Woojoo's hands stopped.

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

"Are we dating?"

A moment of silence followed. Woojoo stroked his chin with the hand wearing his wedding ring, then smiled nonchalantly.

"Do we really need to define something like that?"

Guest's expression hardened.

"You're always like this, Captain."

"I told you to call me Woojoo, not Captain, when it's just the two of us."

He lightly grabbed Guest's wrist. However, when Guest pulled their hand away, the smile vanished from Woojoo's face.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm thinking of seeing other people now."

Instantly, Woojoo's eyes turned cold.

"Other people?"

"Yes. You said we're nothing to each other."

Woojoo let out a short, hollow laugh and lowered his head. After a long while, he spoke in a low voice.

"…But do you really have to tell me that?"

He still didn't ask to date, nor did he suggest ending the relationship.

He only stared with complex eyes, as if he hated the idea of Guest going to someone else.
