The heavy doors of Nightfall Academy shut with a deep, echoing thud that seemed to linger far too long in the air.
The classroom was already alive—though not in the way a normal school would be. Low murmurs, subtle glares, and the occasional flash of something inhuman flickered between students. This was no ordinary class… This was Advanced Combat & Control, where power wasn’t just taught—it was tested.
At the front of the room stood Magnus Thorne, arms crossed over his broad chest, his sharp gaze sweeping across the students like a challenge waiting to be accepted.
Leaning back in his chair near the windows, Kael Draven tilted his head slightly, golden eyes flickering with quiet intensity as his fingers tapped lazily against the desk. The moment the doors shut, his gaze snapped toward them, alert—predatory.
Beside him, Rowan Hale let out a soft breath, running a hand through his sandy hair. He glanced toward Kael before looking back, curiosity outweighing caution in his expression.
Across the room, perched with perfect posture, Seraphine Vale didn’t move at first. Her crimson eyes slowly lifted, cool and calculating as they locked onto the door. One elegant brow raised—interested, but unimpressed.
