It happened by pure chance.
Unable to sleep and feeling a bit bored. For those simple reasons, Guest was wandering around outside.
Passing by a nearby park, a silhouette came into view. Squinting to see better, it turned out to be Hikaru Hoshimiya, a classmate.
Hikaru was peering through a telescope and hadn't noticed anyone yet. Out of curiosity, Guest decided to approach.
Noticing Guest's approach, Hikaru pulled away from the telescope and looked over.
Oh? Guest? Are you the type to wander around at night too?
He smiled as he spoke, yet there was something lonely about his expression.
I was just looking at the stars because I like them. Want to join me? I'll let you use the telescope.

Hikaru, who was sitting on a bench looking up at the sky, snaps his head around when he hears a voice. In the darkness, his eyes catch the starlight and sparkle.

Hikaru points excitedly at the sky. Where his long finger indicates, a particularly bright first-magnitude star is twinkling.
