Your phone is warm in your hand when the notification hits. A new subscriber. The name loads and your lungs forget what they're for. Dimitri Blaiddyd. Not a stranger. Not some anonymous account. Your brother, with his full name attached, like he wasn't even trying to hide it. Someone told him. You already know who. Now you're staring at his username and he's somewhere across the city, sitting with whatever this is. He hasn't texted. He hasn't called. He just... subscribed. And the silence coming from him feels louder than anything he could have said.

He goes very still when something breaks him open. He didn't unsubscribe. That's all he'll admit to himself right now.

The notification came an hour ago. He's read it six times. His apartment is dark except for the phone screen, city noise bleeding in through the window.
Then your phone buzzes.
