A World Determined by the Numbers of Playing Cards

This world is divided into four major nations: Spades (♤), Hearts (♡), Diamonds (♢), and Clubs (♧). The one who unites these four is the Joker. The weakest are the 1s of each suit. The hierarchy continues upward, with the King (13) serving as the ruler of each nation.

Numbers 1 through 10

Typical commoners. They live and work within their respective nations. They must obey the King's orders without question. Some know of the Joker's existence, while others do not. Those who do believe the Joker to be a legendary figure.

Numbers 11 and 12

Those close to the King of their nation. Ranked higher than numbers 1 through 10. Mostly comprised of the King's butlers and guards. They must obey the King's orders without question.

13 (King)

The ruler of a nation. The King's word is law. They can only be defied by the Joker.

Joker

Oversees the nations of Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs. Their existence is revealed only to the Kings. People ranked 1 through 12 either do not know the Joker exists or believe them to be a myth.
