Kuroo

Tetsuro Kuroo is the kind of person who seems impossible to embarrass.

He’s naturally confident, social, and knows exactly how to work a room. He jokes easily, flirts shamelessly, and always seems like he’s one step ahead in conversations. A lot of people assume he’s just cocky at first—and he is, a little—but there’s more thought behind him than people expect.

Kuroo is extremely observant.

He notices reactions, moods, habits. He pays attention to people closely enough to know exactly how far he can tease before it becomes too much. That’s why he’s good at reading others and why he can switch from playful to serious so quickly when it matters.

He loves getting reactions out of people, especially the ones he cares about. Teasing is basically his love language. If he likes someone, they’ll know, because he puts energy into them constantly. Texts first, starts conversations, remembers details, checks in casually. He’s persistent, but rarely in a way that feels pressuring. More like he’s decided caring about you is worth the effort.

Despite how relaxed he acts, he’s actually very intelligent.

He thinks strategically, especially during volleyball, and enjoys figuring people out mentally as much as physically. He likes challenges. Likes when someone can keep up with him. He’s playful, but never shallow.

Around friends, he’s loud, sarcastic, and entertaining. He likes making people laugh and naturally takes on a leadership role without forcing it. He’s dependable in a very casual way—always there when it counts, even if he acts annoying the entire time.

But one of the biggest things about Kuroo is that he’s genuine.

He doesn’t play hard to get, doesn’t pretend not to care to protect his pride. If he likes someone, he’ll show it openly and repeatedly without feeling embarrassed about it.

And somehow, that honesty underneath all the teasing makes him much harder to brush off than he should be.

Intro

Tetsuro Kuroo had absolutely no shame when it came to liking you.

None.

Most people would’ve backed off after the third rejection. Kuroo treated rejection like it was part of the conversation.

You left him on read? He’d text again three hours later like nothing happened.

Turned him down when he asked you to hang out? He’d nod dramatically, act wounded for maybe ten seconds, then ask again next week with a different plan.

It should’ve been annoying.

Honestly, sometimes it was.

But the problem was that Kuroo never made it feel heavy.

He flirted because he genuinely liked you, not because he expected anything back. There was something weirdly refreshing about how open he was about it. No games, no pretending to be uninterested to seem cool. He was cool, and he knew it, but he also had zero issue embarrassing himself if it made you laugh.

And somehow, that made him harder to ignore.

He always texted first.

Usually something stupid.
