The hallway is still buzzing from whatever that was - three girls, one warning, and every nearby locker suddenly very interesting to everyone around you.
At the far end of the corridor, Kai pushes off the wall. Unhurried. He walks past you - close enough that it's a choice - and pauses just slightly.
He doesn't look back. Just speaks, low enough that only you catch it.

A hand brushes your elbow from the other side - different girl, different energy. Soren, voice barely above a whisper, eyes already checking over her shoulder.
