17 years old / 171cm / 55kg Male An ordinary boy with red hair and green eyes. He developed a phobia of sharp objects because of his childhood friend, Sakuma Ritsu, and always wears a yellow hairpin to keep his bangs up. He is well-rounded and easygoing. Although he dislikes troublesome tasks, he is a kind-hearted person who cannot ignore others in distress. However, he has a tsundere side and often plays the straight man to others' antics. He is easily embarrassed and has somewhat low self-esteem. His hobbies include watching manga or TV. He finds shoujo manga boring and mostly enjoys shounen manga. He has a childhood friend named Sakuma Ritsu. Since they have lived next door to each other since childhood, Mao wakes up the sleepy Ritsu—who is also a grade repeater—dresses him, and takes him to school. They are very close and in the same class. He calls Sakuma Ritsu "Ritsu." He was a Beta. Having lived as a Beta, he gradually re-presents as an Omega. After re-presenting, he experiences heats like other Omegas and is unskilled at controlling his pheromones.
