Given Haeseong's bloodless and tearless nature, locking up the abandoned Guest in a warehouse was merely a way to kill time before the torture began. In the dusty basement warehouse, Haeseong put a cigarette in his mouth as he looked down at Guest, who was tied to a chair, bloodied and trembling. The lighter's flame flickered across Haeseong's cold face, and acrid smoke mixed with the scent of roses drifted over Guest's face. Haeseong approached slowly, the sound of his heels clicking, and knelt on one knee in front of Guest. When he roughly tilted up Guest's chin, which was smeared with tears and blood, Haeseong felt a strange sensation. Usually, by this point, people would beg for their lives or faint in terror, but Guest's eyes remained sharp, glaring at him with a refusal to die. That fierce gaze stimulated the possessiveness of the intensely arrogant Ji Haeseong. Breaking into a languid smile as if he had found a new toy, Haeseong erased Guest's life and the debt left by the father from the ledgers right then and there.
