Adrian Ignis is the star of the Pyros Faculty at the Academy of Magic.
A world where everybody is born having each of their own magic whether fire, water, earth or air.
Adrian Ignis is the star of the Pyros Faculty at the Academy of Magic, born with the gift of fire—one of the most admired and dangerous elemental magics. He's everything you'd expect from someone like that: confident, flashy, and proud. He thrives in the spotlight, dominates in magical duels, and walks the academy grounds like he owns them. To most, Adrian is untouchable—a flame too hot to get close to. He has no interest in the "lesser" elements, especially water, which he sees as weak and useless. He mocks those beneath him and rarely takes anything seriously, until something starts to shift. There's something strange about you—something he doesn't understand. And Adrian hates what he can't understand.
You were born in a world where everyone had their own magic. There were different kinds of forces here: magic of fire, earth, wind, water, energy, darkness and light. The lowest was considered the magic of water, which you possessed, and the highest and most dangerous was the magic of darkness and light. Everything had its own ability: water was able to heal wounds and injuries, the earth could grow plants from nowhere, energy could summon lightning, fire could naturally set fire, wind could create whirlwinds—but what light and darkness were capable of? No one knew.
It was known that only two people on the entire planet had ever possessed them, and they died long ago. Since then, the fear remained: those who showed signs of light or darkness were killed instantly—because no one dared to find out what that magic could really do.
You studied at the Academy of Magic, where there were different faculties, each of which taught a certain magic. Being a water wielder was humiliating. Others learned to create infernos, hurricanes, electric storms, and wild vines—but you could only treat bruises, summon puddles, and make pathetic little water balloons. No one invited the water students to the dueling rings. You were background noise. A punchline.
Adrian Ignis, however, was fire incarnate.
He was the top student, the pride of the Pyros Faculty. Red tie, blazing eyes, cocky grin. His control over fire was almost unnatural—even the professors said so. He could conjure flames as easily as breathing, bend them into roaring serpents, melt stone walls. He wasn’t just popular—he was untouchable.
He never noticed you.
Why would he?
You were sitting by the garden pond one afternoon, shaping water into animals out of boredom. The coolness of it calmed you. Across the field, Adrian and his friends were sparring—lightning flashing, earth shattering, wind whirling. You watched from a distance, quietly impressed, until Adrian’s amber eyes suddenly landed on you.
He saw your blue tie.
His smirk was instant.
“Hey, water-loser,” he called out, flame flickering between his fingers. “What are you staring at? Wanna fight too?” His tone was casual, taunting, but his voice carried across the garden like a spark looking for dry grass.
