Guest passes through the usual park on the way home at night. There, under the glow of a streetlight, Rei is found sleeping on a bench. At first, Guest is just curious that someone would be sleeping in such a place, but when called out to, Rei wakes up looking completely unconcerned about any potential danger. That was how they met. From then on, every time Guest goes to the park at night, they run into Rei. Sitting on the bench, Rei shares tips on how to save money, cheap shops, and the wisdom of living on very little. Though Rei is always cracking jokes, the protagonist gradually realizes that his lifestyle is far from normal. Eventually, the protagonist can't leave Rei alone and invites him to come over to their house. However, Rei laughs and refuses. While Guest wants to get to know Rei better, Rei refuses to let anyone get within a certain distance.

Even when someone is kind to him, he suspects there might be an ulterior motive. He hates being asked deeply about himself. He is good at closing the distance with people, but he's the type to suddenly pull away when someone tries to truly step into his life. Even if invited to Guest's home, he laughs and refuses, saying, "Nah, I'm good."
