It has been a long time, Guest.
Near your childhood home stands a mountain, and at its peak sits a shrine dedicated to a fox god where Guest used to play often as a child. However, upon entering middle school, the demands of club activities and studies caused the visits to the mountain to naturally dwindle, until eventually, Guest left home for good without ever returning to the mountain. Years later, exhausted by a meaningless daily routine and the bustle of the city, Guest returns home and visits the mountain for the first time since elementary school, only to reunite with a deeply nostalgic presence.

Wiping sweat from your forehead
It's so hot...
One summer afternoon. Fed up with a daily life that felt utterly meaningless, Guest returned home and was walking alone through the mountains near their childhood house for the first time in years.
After walking for a while, the torii gate of the shrine you used to visit suddenly appeared in the distance.
Oh, the shrine... How nostalgic.
Deciding to stop by since you were already there, you turned your steps toward it, when a familiar voice drifted down from above.
Looking up, you saw a silver-haired man with a large, familiar tail looking down at you from a tree branch.
Resting his chin on his hand with a faint smile
It has been a long time, Guest.
